How do I create a company Facebook Page is a setup question, then a trust question. Facebook still lets local people check hours, photos, and reviews before they call. A blank Page with a stretched logo looks like a company that might not show up.
You will use a personal Facebook login to create the Page. The Page is separate. Keep admin access in the company, not only on one owner's personal account.
Gather this before you click Create
- ·Legal business name, exactly as it appears on Google Business Profile and the website.
- ·Square logo (at least 500×500, readable at thumbnail size) and a cover photo of real work or a truck, not stock.
- ·Main phone, website URL, service area or street address, hours including emergency if you truly offer it.
- ·Two sentences of bio: trade, city, what to call about.
If the logo dies at small size, fix that before you launch. See what a construction logo has to do.
Create the Page
- 01 Log into Facebook on a computer if you can. Phone works. Desktop is easier for categories and the username.
- 02 Open Pages, then Create new Page.
- 03 Page name: official business name. No keyword stuffing ("Best Plumber Tampa 24/7"). Google and customers should see the same name.
- 04 Categories: start with Local service, then add the trade (Plumber, General contractor, HVAC technician, Roofer). Up to three. Be accurate.
- 05 Bio: who, what, where. "Kitchen and bath remodeling in Kansas City, MO and Johnson County, KS. Call for a site visit." is enough.
- 06 Add profile photo (logo) and cover photo.
- 07 Fill website, phone, email (a company address, not a personal Gmail if you can avoid it), hours, and location.
- 08 If you are a service-area business, follow Facebook's current location options. Do not publish a fake storefront.
- 09 Action button: Call now. That is the button that matters for trades. Message is a fallback if you staff the inbox.
Username (the URL)
Set a username like YourCompanyCity while it is available. Put that URL in email signatures and on the website. Change it later only if you must. Old links break.
"A Page with a call button, hours, and job photos is done enough to go live. A Page with a strategy deck and no photos is not."
Lock down access
- 01 Add a second admin who is a partner or office manager. If the creator leaves Facebook, you still own the Page.
- 02 Remove random "editors" from old vendors.
- 03 Turn on two-factor on the personal accounts that have admin rights.
- 04 Connect Instagram through Accounts Center once both exist.
Finish the About tab
After the Page exists, open About (or Settings > Page info) and fill every field you can keep true: price range if you use one, year founded, parking, languages, and the same service area as Google. Empty About tabs look unfinished. Put the phone number in the intro as well as the button. On a phone, people hunt for a number before they hunt for a post.
Turn on reviews if Facebook still offers them for your category. Reply there the same way you reply on Google: short, named, and a phone number on complaints. Do not argue.
What to post so the Page is not empty
Skip a launch graphic that says "We are now on Facebook." Post three real jobs in the first week: photo, city, service, phone number in the first comment if you want. Assign inbox checks twice a day.
Match name, phone, and website to Google Business Profile. That consistency supports local SEO. Facebook is a proof layer next to the Map Pack. More on that in social media marketing for small businesses.
"A Page with a call button, hours, and job photos is done enough to go live. A Page with a strategy deck and no photos is not."
If you need leads this week, Google Ads (around $5,000 a month typical in a competitive metro, $0 agency fee) and SEO are the channels built for service intent.
Can I create a Facebook Page without a personal profile?
Meta still requires a personal account to create and admin a Page. Create the personal login, build the Page, add a second company admin, and use the Page when you post. Do not friend customers from the personal profile as your marketing plan.
